Jewellery paradise

When we started Maanesten back in 2010, we never doubted where we wanted to produce our jewelry. Jaipur in India is the holy grail of jewelry, where for hundreds of years some of the most beautiful jewelry has been created by goldsmiths who have learned the craft over generations. Today, that amazing heritage creates Maanesten's jewelry and in collaboration with our designer and goldsmiths, together with our Indian partner, we have found a perfect formula for our quality.
We demand the highest quality.
It is crucial to us that what we sell is of the highest quality. Yes, anyone can claim that, and so do many jewelry brands, but the difference is that we have our own sustainable production where we, together with our Indian partner, control every little part and process. We have invested in some of the best equipment to ensure that the quality we promise is maintained and that you as a consumer know that our jewelry does not contain anything that can harm you. We have hired one of India's most talented chemical engineers who has created the perfect gold plating process that makes our jewelry incredibly durable and environmentally friendly.
Good working conditions are for everyone, also in India

Since 2010, together with our Indian partner in Jaipur, we have built a sustainable production of jewelry that takes good care of the environment and the employees. It has been very important to us right from the start that our goldsmiths, stone cutters, engineers and many more have the same conditions and rights as we have in Denmark, that they have a good salary, pension scheme, insurance for themselves and their families and that they are trained or being trained and are members of trade unions. All this helps to ensure that the jewelry you buy from us has been created by people with great passion, high professionalism and respect.
Gold and forests of green
You shouldn't promise more than you can deliver and that's something we've always strived for, especially when it comes to something as important as the green transition. We can't say that we are 100% green, but we are constantly trying to optimize our processes and set high standards for our suppliers around the world.
But what do we do then?
– We use FSC certification on the majority of our packaging.
– We only use recycled silver
– The majority of our production in India is powered by solar energy.
– We are the first jewelry brand in the world to recycle all our jewelry samples, complaints and leftover stock in our Upcycled Recycled collection.
– We have ensured a working environment in our production in India that matches the conditions in Denmark
– We use organic cotton and recycled
polyester fabric in the majority of our soft accessory
– We use Acetate for e.g. our hair clips, which is more durable than plastic and with minimal risk of allergic reactions
– We support a sewing center in India, run by independent women to sew some of our soft accessories
