Care Guide for Acetat

Take good care of your Hair Clips and Acetate accessories

Our hair accessories are made from the durable and flexible material acetate, making them resistant and long-lasting. To ensure the best conditions for maintaining the shine and strength of your hair clips, we recommend following our care instructions.

  • Avoid Contact with Perfume, Soap & Hairspray

The chemicals in these products can make the surface of the acetate dull and matt.

  • Avoid Chlorine & Salt Water

We recommend removing your hair clip when swimming in pools or in the sea. Salt and chlorine can damage the metal components of your hair clip, which may cause the clip to become less effective or increase the risk of it breaking.

If your hair clip has been exposed to pool or seawater, it is important to rinse it thoroughly with fresh water without soap and then dry it carefully with a soft, dry cloth.

  • Avoid Showering with Your Hair Accessories

Hot water can affect the adhesive used to attach the rhinestones, causing them to loosen and fall out. Chemicals in shampoo can damage the surface of the acetate, while soap residue can build up in the spring mechanism and cause your clip to become less effective.

  • Store Your Hair Accessories Separately from Other Items in Your Bag

We recommend placing your hair clip in the included fabric pouch to protect it from becoming bent, scratched or crushed. This is important for ensuring its durability and longevity.

  • You Can Refresh Your Acetate Hair Clip

To restore the shine of your hair clip, you can use a damp microfiber cloth and gently polish the surface. Dry the hair clip thoroughly afterwards with a soft cloth.
